RESUME - ABOUT PAGE
Since graduating from Rutgers University in May of 2012, I have been focusing largely on residential and smaller commercial landscape projects for my family's company, Curry Landscaping, Inc. This has provided me with invaluable experience in the full spectrum of the field--from client consultation, to site visits, inventories, design, installation and oversight on maintenance. My ultimate goal in landscape design is to be involved in the interdisciplinary design and installation of habitat restoration projects that seek both to restore sites, encouraging biodiversity, and invite visitors, creating important educational and recreational spaces. A great photograph is transformative--it doesn't simply capture a subject--it explains it. It makes you think differently. It captures a subject from an angle you may not have seen before. A great photograph tells a story. Most beautifully, a great photograph can be taken by anyone, anytime.
I don't claim to have ever taken a great photograph--that's not for me to decide. I seek to capture the world as I see it--to pull simple moments out of time, preserving them forever. I find inspiration everywhere--whether it be sunlight streaming through the broken window of an abandoned house, or just the right lighting on a patch of moss. There's beauty in every detail, and I do my best to capture it.

New Jersey singer-songwriter, Jeff Petescia was looking for photos in a natural setting that matched the tone of his music. Immediately upon hearing his songs, I had one of my favorite running locations in mind for the shoot--a utilities right of way in East Brunswick, NJ. I tried to make the best of the dwindling light of Fall by editing the photos with slightly surreal lighting and coloring to compliment Petescia's music, which often times evokes a dreamlike landscape. Update 2021: I often wonder how Jeff is doing with his music career—I sure hope he continued the pursuit. I’ll have to ask him at band practice next time.
