Compositing is the combination of multiple layers of images or video elements to render a final still or moving image. Below is a series of music videos I composited for Cold Weather Company’s album, Coalescence using hand-drawn illustrations/animations by Haley Potter.
With the right strategy and some time, any still image can be separated into layers and brought to moving life. In this case, I took Joe Ruff’s still panorama illustration for Cold Weather Company’s album Coalescence, pulled every layer I could, and gently animated them to make the scene “breathe”.
Scenic investigations of the Nathaniel Drake House, built in 1746. These videos are part of an ongoing project commissioned by the Historical Society of Plainfield to create an immersive photo/video archive of the property, its contents, and their stories.
There’s nothing like getting lost in the details. Filmed for the IN7 Experimental Video Art Residency at Gardenship Art in Kearny, NJ. Cataloguing trinkets and treasures, both man-made and natural.
Cataloguing crafts of all sorts. If you a thing, I’d love to find the best way to film that thing.
